It is said that a bewitched being haunts Biederthal Castle in the form of a great black dog, known as the “Laxi dog.” This is supposed to be the castle’s former owner, Alexis von Reichenstein—Laxi being a shortened form of his name. During his lifetime, he was notorious far and wide for his way of life.
