Beneath the crest of the great Hohnack a monstrous giant is said to lie buried, and people claim that his breathing and groaning can often be heard far away across the mountains and down into the valleys. For that reason, the people also call the summit of this mountain the Giant’s Grave. Great rocks lie there, and the uppermost of them shows several regular hollows that people call the witches’ cauldrons.
