One evening, a man from Mœrnach was returning home late from the mill at Fislach. The miller was his cousin and had delayed him, together with his old father, longer than expected. As they were passing near the old monastery of Luppach, the father, who was sitting beside him on the cart, said, “Look over there! It’s a great crowd!” The son looked to the side, and both of them saw a long procession of monks wearing broad round hats and singing loudly.
