Near Berg there once stood an old, dilapidated “Städeli”. A man had taken his own life there; afterwards, he was often heard at night, making a terrible commotion and rattling chains frightfully.
Within living memory, only one man claimed still to have heard it, boasting that he was not even afraid of the Evil One. Two miller’s lads hid themselves at the spot and rattled chains. At that, however, the hero took to his heels.
